1. What We Collect

Information you provide directly

When you submit the contact form on our Site, we collect:

• Your company name
• The message you submit

We use this information solely to respond to your inquiry.

Information collected automatically

The Site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-first analytics service. When you visit the Site, Cloudflare collects the following information in aggregate:

• Pages visited and time on page
• The URL that referred you to the Site
• Country or region (derived from your IP address at the network edge; your IP address is not stored)
• Browser type, operating system, and device type
• Core Web Vitals and page performance metrics

Cloudflare Web Analytics does not use cookies, does not fingerprint individual visitors, and does not track individuals over time. All data is aggregated before storage. This information is used solely to understand how visitors use the Site and to monitor Site performance.

2. Cookies

This Site does not use cookies for analytics, advertising, or tracking. Cloudflare Web Analytics is cookieless by design.

Cloudflare's network infrastructure may set strictly necessary technical cookies (such as __cf_bm) as part of its bot management and security services. These cookies are set by Cloudflare's infrastructure — not by Backchain — are necessary for the Site to function securely, and do not track you for advertising or analytics purposes. 3. How We Use Your Information

We do not use contact form submissions for marketing without your explicit consent. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their own commercial purposes.

4. Third-Party Service Providers

We share limited data with the following third parties solely to operate the Site:

• Cloudflare, Inc. — provides website hosting (Cloudflare Workers) and Web Analytics. Cloudflare processes network traffic and aggregated performance data as a data processor on our behalf. Contact form submissions pass through Cloudflare's infrastructure in transit but are not stored by Cloudflare. Cloudflare does not use data processed on our behalf for its own commercial purposes. No other third parties receive your personal information. We do not use a CRM or marketing automation platform to store contact form submissions.

5. Data Retention

• Contact form submissions: We retain correspondence for as long as necessary to respond to your inquiry and for a reasonable period thereafter, not to exceed two years unless a business relationship requires longer retention.
• Analytics data: Cloudflare Web Analytics retains aggregated analytics data for 90 days. No individual visitor data is stored.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights with respect to your personal information:

All visitors

You may request that we delete personal information you have provided to us by emailing hello@backchain.ai. We will respond within 30 days.

Virginia residents (VCDPA)

You have the right to: confirm whether we process your personal data; access your personal data; correct inaccuracies; delete personal data you provided; obtain a portable copy of your data; and opt out of the processing of your personal data for purposes of targeted advertising or profiling. We do not sell personal data as defined under the VCDPA.

California residents (CCPA/CPRA)

You have the right to know what personal information we collect and how it is used; to delete personal information; to correct inaccurate personal information; and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information as defined under the CCPA/CPRA.

EEA, UK, and Swiss residents (GDPR)

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, or restrict processing of your personal data; to object to processing based on legitimate interests; and to data portability. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

7. Data Security

We implement reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, or destruction. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children

Our Site is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, contact us at hello@backchain.ai and we will delete it.

9. Links to Third-Party Sites

Our Site contains links to third-party websites. This Privacy Policy applies only to our Site. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party sites.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top. Material changes will be noted prominently on the Site. Your continued use of the Site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
